Jackie's Wicked Rhymes! Getting back on the website and the videos!!!! Jackie's Wicked Adventures have been EXCITING recently - so, I've been to London and spouted my shout outside the Globe Theatre... Yeah yeah, should have applied for a licence but Punk Poetry is all the rage apparently... Either way, it was fun and Jackie's Wicked Poetry needed the vent as things have been tough of late. I firmly believe when the going get tough, creativity is the solution! I've therefore been working hard on consolidating my work. I'm nearing the end of my second novel - The Call of the Birds. This is the sequel to The Boy Without Wings, and no, nothing has been published yet because novel two needed completing first - and The Boy Without Wings needs tweaking next. Novel writing blows my mind. It's intense and compelling and exciting - but DESTROYS my nerves! So worth it though . An expunging - if that's a word :) I've also been recording my poetry with the wonderful Gyp Buggane at Ballagroove Studios. What a man. Currently we've had two attempts - the first was over ambitious. The second - perfect. We've a ton more to do (I've over two hours worth of work to record!), but good to slowly be getting my schizzle down. Nice to finish projects properly - prepares the head for all the other stuff that's fighting to escape - poetry, rap, stories, and things that might actually make some dosh :) Tonight (6pm), my interview with Sarah Hendy for Spotlight at Manx Radio, is being aired. Really appreciate it when people approach me about my creations. No one's work is everyone's cup of tea, but I truly hope people can respect what i do. Ultimately though, we have to create for ourselves - then hone our creations for our audiences. Audiences are not secondary, I don't mean this - rather, if we ONLY do it for our audiences, we are most likely going to end up a little disappointed. We have to love what we do first and foremost. Anyway, enough! Here's a little stabby piece. Like I say, things have been tough of late. Hahahaha :)
